The past year and ten months have given us renewed perspective on what matters most. For many, that includes the well-being of ourselves and loved ones, financial stability and supporting causes that make a difference. We give thanks for all who came before us, creating legacy gifts that have helped Baystate Health thrive and innovate to meet the needs of our communities.
Grace Stebbins, Frances Lutolf, Ernest Dexter, William Walker, Daniel Wesson, Mary Gallerani. These are some of the many kind individuals who established trusts ten, twenty and even one hundred years ago to endow their annual support to Baystate Health Foundation. Their legacies live on, still providing a steady stream of income year after year to support our lifesaving mission.
Many other thoughtful donors included gifts in their wills or created beneficiary designation gifts in gratitude for care received for themselves and loved ones – gifts that help further medical research, support hospice care, fund new heart and vascular treatments, provide education and training for nurses, and so much more.
Other donors made gifts in their estate plans to bring the best in care to their communities by supporting our regional hospitals – such as William Russell, whose trust provides ongoing support to Baystate Franklin; Herbert and Josephine Burk whose bequest continues to support Baystate Noble; and a gift in the will of Robert Collins to advance Baystate Wing.
In this new year, we are thankful to all with the foresight and kindness to ensure a bright future for Baystate Health for those we serve. Want to consider your own legacy gift?
